Division Science and Technology Fair 2023: Expanding the Horizons of Future STEM

Research has played a vital role in developing various types of requirements that are needed for basic life necessities, and the Department of Education has implemented ways of learning this particular subject that have helped in broadening the knowledge and further expanding it, starting with the learners. Last November 6, 2023, the Division Science and Technology Fair was held at Siquijor Provincial Science High School, where participants from different schools entered with their prepared entries for their chosen category.

Candaping National High School has sent entries for the different categories, namely:

>Life Science (Individual Category)

-Ms. Rizelle Maye C. Balingit

The research defenses were done in the afternoon, along with the showing of video entries for the Siyensikula. All the students have showcased their respective skills in their various events, and have successfully collected medals. Candaping National High school was able to garner 1 gold medal, 7 silver medals, and a bronze medal. The participants were overjoyed that their sleepless nights and stressful experiences were worth it.

This event has helped them test their critical thinking, oral speaking capabilities, and the ability to conduct research that fully contributes to the category they chose, introducing amazing innovations and products. It has also helped them discover new information with the end goal of benefiting society, and it has helped them go out of their comfort zones.
