Candaping Highlights is the official school paper of Candaping National High School, located at Candaping B, Maria, Siquijor. The online news portal is dedicated to providing a platform for student voices and perspectives through a biannual publication. The proponent of this site, Mr. Shane Jay G. Fabugais, is likewise the Campus Journalism Adviser.
Our vision is to promote informed citizenship and critical thinking through high-quality journalism, while upholding the highest standards of journalistic ethics. Our mission is to offer students opportunities to learn about and practice journalism, and to promote diversity, inclusion, and accountability in our coverage. We aim to give voice to marginalized communities and report on the issues that matter most to students.
In addition, Candaping Highlights encourages teachers to submit news articles, research, and innovations to contribute to informed citizenship and the community.
