Israel, Obach crowned Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2023

Candaping National High School held its first ever Mr. and Ms. Intramurals as a part of its annual Intramural meet which aims to nurture students’ love for sports, foster positive mental health and give students the chance to interact socially with peers. The said search took place at the school’s activity center on October 19, 2023.

With enough guidance from Candaping National High School faculty and staff, stakeholders and students, the event started with lively cheers and claps from the crowd indicating the start of the search for Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2023. To keep the viewers’ attention alive, an intermission number was presented by the chosen Grade 11 students.

Each grade level was well-represented by a pair, namely: Ms. April Joy B. Baltazar and Mr. Mhyke Daven A. Macalib-og (Grade 7), Mr. Jen Rex M. Paragamac and Ms. Keithley Switzer C. Cagula (Grade 8), Mr. Jade Paragamac and Ms. Danica Hanz Genita (Grade 9), Mr. Maclen Sonogan and Ms. Royalle Rocha (Grade 10), Mr. Jan Cris Israel and Ms. Maxine Kay Obach (Grade 11) and finally, Mr. James Grant Mangobat and Ms. Regine Fernando (Grade 12). The above – mentioned participants compete for the title of "Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2023".

From the outfits that express their charisma yet showed simplicity, the photos that captured their beauty, and performances that's filled with dedication and sincerity, each representative truly showcased their talents and their full potentials towards the competition. Speeches and words that express their inner thoughts garnered the way to the triumph of success. It is at the point of the competition wherein the people, judges, and contestants determine the victorious pair.

As the announcement of the special awards started, the activity center was again filled with applause and cheers coming from the candidates' supporters. The following bagged the different minor awards:

Ms. April Joy B. Baltazar (Grade 7)- Ms. Congeniality

Mr. Jen Rex Paragamac (Grade 8)- Mr. Photogenic

Mr. Maclen Sonogan (Grade 10)- Best in Fun Wear

Ms. Royalle Rocha (Grade 10)- Ms. Professionalism

Mr. Jan Cris Israel (Grade 11)- Mr. Professionalism, Best in Sportswear, Best Speaker, Inspired Perfume International Ambassador, and Snap Photography award

Ms. Maxine Kay Obach (Grade 11)- Ms. Body Beautiful, Ms. Photogenic, Best in Production Number, Best in Fun Wear, Best in Sportswear, Best Speaker, Inspired Perfume International Ambassadress, and Snap Photography award

Mr. James Grant (Grade 12)- Best in Production Number

On the other hand, the following candidates garnered the major awards:

Mr. James Grant (Grade 12) and Ms. Danica Genita Hanz (Grade 9)- 1st Runner Up

Mr. Jade Paragamac (Grade 9) and Ms. Regine Fernando (Grade 12)- 2nd Runner Up

After the judges took their moment in distinguishing the winners, the time has finally arrived to unveil the new faces of athleticism and glamour. Ms. Maxine Kay Obach (Grade 11) was crowned Ms. Intramurals 2023 while Mr. Jan Cris Israel (Grade 11) was also crowned Mr. Intramurals 2023.

This dynamic duo from Grade 11 truly conquered the stage with their charms and beauty that perfectly embodies sportsmanship and elegance.
