No Vaccination, No Ride Policy

To prevent critical conditions in contacting the virus the government introduced the no vaccine, no ride policy. Vaccinated and partially vaccinated workers wanting to use public transport are urged to have vaccination cards with them. This was valid after February 25 which made people angry.

Seeing workers cry on streets, having them lost their duty due to lack of transportation and giving them hard time transporting from one place to another. When it comes to vaccines it will always be the person's decision and not the government. There are more ways to persuade them to take vaccines, stop scaring and urging them to take vaccines after all it’s a matter of choice.

This policy is just a burden to the public. According to Governor Chiz Escudero There is no legal law about the no vaccination, no ride policy. Public Transportation is a need to the public. When you choose not to be vaccinated you shouldn’t be excluded. Policies should not cross the line where it will be against human rights.

However, it’s for the safety of all passengers. Cooperation is needed to achieve the goal of vaccination in the country. The government still has the duty for a safer environment and it’s up to us on how to respond to it.

Vaccine jabs are happening and government officials find ways to cope up with the vaccine roll out and surprisingly came up with the no vaccination, no ride policy. We have the right to choose, the right to say no and we are not mandated to take vaccines, instead we should persuade the public to take vaccine and not to use vaccines as passports or tickets to ride public transportation. What do you think about this policy?
